Corporate+Financial group profile
The Chartered Institute of Public Relations Corporate+Financial Group is one of the specialist vocational groups within the Chartered Institute of Public Relations.
Its objectives are:
- To improve the understanding of the role and value of corporate and financial public relations, both within the City and industry in general, and to promote the highest standards of professional practice;
- To provide opportunities for corporate and financial public relations people to hear from, and exchange views with, representatives of senior management, the media and their peers; click here for events
- To act as an authoritative 'spokesperson' for corporate and financial public relations by contributing to any public debate or media comment on the industry;
- To assist business and financial journalists, academic and other opinion formers in their understanding of the City and industry. click here for education
- To promote the CIPR within the Group's area of special interest, and to recruit members to the Institute
- To promote the views and opinions of Group members to the CIPR, drawing on members' expertise to advise the Institute on Corporate and Financial communication issues.
The Chartered Institute of Public Relations
The Chartered Institute of Public Relations was founded in 1948 and is by far the largest professional public relations organisation in Europe.
Including the Corporate+Financial Group, there are four vocational, thirteen regional and seven special interest groups within the Institute. In addition to Institute events, these groups organise their own programmes of activities to cover their specialised interests. Membership of the Institute is required for full membership of all the specialist groups.
The Institute circulates official news regularly to members, covering information about Institute activities and matters of interest and importance to members.
